This 13-day journey takes travelers across Kenya's most celebrated parks and reserves for an in-depth, well-paced safari experience. It begins in Tsavo West, historically known as the land of the "man-eaters," where red-dust-coated elephants roam against a backdrop of the Chyulu Hills and Mount Kilimanjaro. From there, the route continues to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro. The safari then heads north to the cool highland air of the Mount Kenya region, staying at a historic lodge, before continuing to Samburu National Reserve, home to species found almost nowhere else in Kenya. The trip concludes with three nights in the Maasai Mara, Kenya's premier reserve, with the option of a homebound flight or a beach extension on the coast.
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, clear immigration, and transfer to the Nairobi Serena Hotel for overnight.
Early departure by road to Tsavo West, home to elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, giraffe, and plains game. Check in at Kilaguni Lodge, with views of the Chyulu Hills and Kilimanjaro. Morning and afternoon game drives.
A second day of game drives in Tsavo West, continuing to explore the park's diverse terrain and wildlife.
Drive to Amboseli, known for its large elephant population. Arrive for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive in search of elephants, with a chance of sunset views of Kilimanjaro.
Early morning game drive for the best light on Kilimanjaro, followed by breakfast and a further morning game drive. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge.
Morning flight to Nairobi, continuing by road to Nanyuki and on to the Mount Kenya Safari Club. Arrive before lunch with time to explore the grounds and visit the nearby animal orphanage.
Drive north through Timau's wheat fields, crossing the equator into Samburu, home to Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Arrive for lunch at a luxury tented camp. Late afternoon game drive.
Early morning game drive, breakfast, then a late-morning game drive. Afternoon leisure and bird watching, followed by a late-afternoon game drive.
Morning game drive, then a guided nature and bird walk with a camp guide. Afternoon at leisure.
Morning transfer to the Samburu airstrip for a scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. Check in to a luxury tented lodge. Afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five.

A further day of morning and afternoon game drives across the Mara's plains.
Final morning game drive before transferring to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Nairobi or Mombasa. Use of a day room at the Serena Hotel until an evening transfer to the airport, or continue on for an optional beach extension.
